Description
This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of Sopwith Triplane N5487 of Flight Lieutenant William Melville Alexander of 10 Naval Squadron RNAS. Sharman was part of flight “B” of Naval 10, also known as “The Black Flight”, because of their cowling and wheel colors, as well as the planes’ nicknames. N5487 was nicknamed “Black Prince”. Canadian Alexander scored the first eight of his 23 air victories on N5487. All but two of his subsequent victories were using Sopwith Camels. He survived the war as a Captain, still with Naval 10, which had become 210 Squadron RAF by then.
