Description
This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of Albatros D.V 2171/17 of Leutnant Oliver Freiherr von Beaulieu-Marconnay of Jasta 18. Only age 16 when the war started, he joined the 4th Dragoons. The symbol of the 4th Dragoons — a stylized, joined “4” and “D” became his personal symbol and was used on many of his aircraft. He was assigned to Jasta 18 in December 1917 and joined Veltjen’s movement to Jasta 15 in March 1918. By September he was placed in command of Jasta 19, a number that matched his age. In October he was fatally wounded and his Pour le Merite (Blue Max) was rushed through before he passed.
No painting is necessary — this model comes printed in full color, ready to use. The model does not come with a flight stand, maneuver deck, or plane card.
