Description

This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of the Fokker D.VII of Leutnant Hans Kirschstein of Jasta 6.  Kirschstein claimed his striking paint scheme made it harder for the enemy to take aim at his aircraft, calling it the “optical illusion”.  Kirschstein scored a remarkable twenty-seven victories in a four month period in 1918.  He died in a crash while being “chauffuered” back to his aerodrome on a Hannover CL.II by a fellow pilot who had never flown an Hannover before.

No painting is necessary — this model comes printed in full color, ready to use.  The model does not come with a flight stand, maneuver deck, or plane card.  You can find an unofficial plane card for this plane in this paint scheme in the gallery on this page.
