Description

This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of Junkers J.I 134/17 of Flieger-Abteilung (A) 221, pilot Feldwebel Ernst Schäfer and observer Leutnant Willhelm Paul Schreiber.   In May 1918, this plane managed to shoot down the SPAD 7 of Charles Biddle of the US Air Service.  Schreiber’s fire caused Biddle to crash-land in no-man’s land, but he managed to make it back to Entente lines and  went on to score seven total air victories.  After a long service career, 134/17 itself was shot down at the end of May when Schäfer was hit by ground fire, and both Schäfer and Schreiber were posthumously awarded high honors, the Military Service Cross in Gold and the Pour le Mérite respectively.

No painting is necessary — this model comes printed in full color, ready to use.  The model does not come with a flight stand, maneuver deck, or plane card.  You can find an unofficial plane card for this plane in this paint scheme in the gallery on this page.
