Description
This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of Nieuport 24bis N3588 of Lieutenant Paul Tarascon of Escadrille N62. This 24bis features a “cône de penetration” on the propeller face. Undeterred by losing a foot in a flying accident, Tarascon scored twelve air victories and ten probables, all with N62/SPA62. All of Tarascon’s planes seem to have been labeled “Zigomar” with a number increasing in succession. He was known as “l’as la jambe de bois” (“The ace with the wooden leg”).
