Description
This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of R.A.F. S.E.5a A’8898 of Major Keith L. “Grid” Caldwell of №60 Squadron. Caldwell was born in New Zealand. He joined the RFC in April 1916. He flew Bristol Scouts and Nieuports until transferring №60 converted to R.A.F. S.E.5a’s. Soon afterwards he was given command of №74 Squadron. He earned 25 air victories during the war. For a brief time the S.E.5a’s of №60 Squadron escaped the notice of upper command and were painted partially in bright colors. Caldwell flew A’8898 during this period.
