Description
This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of Nieuport 11 No. 576 of Lieutenant Jean Navarre of Escadrille N67. Navarre flew several Nieuports during his career, starting with this one. Its fuselage was painted in unmistakable blue, white, and red bands to discourage ground fire from friendly forces. Navarre was one of France’s earliest celebrated aces, scoring his first three victories in Morane-Saulnier planes. The remainder of his twelve air victories were scored in Nieuports, but his last combat flight was on 17 June 1916 when he was severely wounded. He also scored 15 probable victories, but the French were very strict in their combat accounting.
No painting is necessary — this model comes printed in full color, ready to use. The model does not come with a flight stand, maneuver deck, or plane card. You can find an unofficial plane card for this plane in this paint scheme in the gallery on this page.
