Description
This is a full-color 3D print of Vickers F.B.5 #5074 of №11 Squadron, as flown by Lieutenant Gilbert Stuart Martin Insall and Air Mechanic Thomas Ham Donald. On 7 Nov 1915, while flying #5074, they brought down an Aviatik and dropped a small bomb on it to ensure its destruction. As they flew home, their fuel tank was hit by ground fire and they were forced down. After guarding #5074 all night long and repairing the fuel tank, they made their way home to the aerodrome the next morning, earning the Victoria Cross and Distinguished Conduct Medal respectively.
No painting is necessary — this model comes printed in full color, ready to use. The model does not come with a flight stand, maneuver deck, or plane card. You can find an unofficial plane card for this plane in this paint scheme in the gallery on this page.
