Description
This is a full-color 3D print of Aviatik D.I 138.99 of Offizierstellvertreter (Non-Commissioned Officer) Friedrich Hefty of Flik 42/J. The camouflage was sponged on the fuselage and wing uppersurfaces and it resembles autumn leaf colors. Like many pilots, Hefty started on two-seaters such as the Albatros B.I and Brandenburg C.I before joining fighter units in the spring of 1917. Hefty scored five confirmed victories and four unconfirmed. He once bailed out of a burning Albatros and was saved by his parachute.
