Description
This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of the Halberstadt D.III of Leutnant Ernst von Althaus of Jasta 4. Freiherr von Althaus transferred from the Hussars to flying school in May 1915. He became the fifth aviator to gain the Pour le Merité after his fifth victory in July 1916. He scored nine official victories before being promoted as the commander of a flight school. After being taken out of action for his involvement in an embezzlement scandal, he returned to the infantry, where he was captured by the Americans in October 1918.
