Description
This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of an A.E.G. G.IV. We don’t know the unit or crew of this aircraft, but the shark motif on the nose is iconic. The fabric surfaces of the plane were covered in very dark five-color lozenge, which is either typical German lozenge painted over incompletely with a dark varnish or perhaps a special night print. By the time of this plane’s use — as shown by the narrow arms of the national insignia — the G.IV was flying only at dusk, night, and dawn hours.
No painting is necessary — this model comes printed in full color, ready to use. It comes with an integral flight peg for mounting on game flight stands (not included), which can be carefully removed with a cutting tool, if desired. The peg is designed for a fairly tight fit; you can file it down slightly if you prefer a looser fit. The model does not come with a flight stand, maneuver deck, or plane card.
