Description
This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of SPAD 7 S1456 of Lieutenant William Thaw of SPA 124 (Lafayette) Escadrille. William “Bill” Thaw began his WWI career by volunteering for the French Foreign Legion in 1914. He flew Deperdussin, Caudrons, Nieuports before switching to the SPAD 7 as part of Lafayette Escadrille (N124, later SPA 124). When SPA124 transferred to USAS command, Thaw was promoted to Major and took command of its successor, the 103rd Aero Squadron. Like several Lafayette Escadrille planes, S1456 features the pilot’s initial as its individual marking.
