Description
As the F.E.2b grew older, it could no longer fulfill the roles it served in 1916 in later 1917 and in 1918 it was converted to a night bomber. This extended its service lifetime and made it one of the longest-serving planes of the war. This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of R.A.F. F.E.2b A852 of №100 Squadron, with crew L.G. Taylor and F.E. LeFevre. A852 was captured and photographed after coming down after a long-range night bombing mission. It is finished in lamp-black except for the top wing upper surface and various metal pieces in dark gray. Only the front Lewis gun was carried, and the model shows the plane laden with a 230lb bomb and racks of 20lb Cooper bombs.
No painting is necessary — this model comes printed in full color, ready to use. The model does not come with a flight stand, maneuver deck, or plane card. You can find an unofficial plane card for this plane in this paint scheme in the gallery on this page.
