Description

This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of Morane-Saulnier Type L Number 3253 of Sub-Lieutenant Reginald Alexander John Warneford of № 1 Naval Squadron, RNAS.  On 7 June 1915 Warneford used this plane to drop a series of 20lb bombs on Zeppelin LZ37 at 7000 feet, destroying it and earning the Victoria Cross.  This was the first time that a Zeppelin had been destroyed by enemy attack in mid-air.  The Type L is still marked with French wing roundels but sports RNAS roundels on its sides.

No painting is necessary — this model comes printed in full color, ready to use.  The model does not come with a flight stand, maneuver deck, or plane card.  You can find an unofficial plane card for this plane in this paint scheme in the gallery on this page.
