Description
This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of the SPAD 13 of Capitaine Henri Joseph Marie Hay de Slade of Escadrille SPA 159. When Hay de Slade took over command of SPA 159, he found a unit on low morale and with few victories. He had his SPAD’s prominent features painted red and added red stripes down the fuselage sides and on the horizontal tail, so that his comrades could always spot his plane in a dogfight and follow his example. He personally downed nineteen enemy planes, eight of them with SPA 159.
