Description
This is a full-color 1:144 3D print of Sopwith Triplane N5464 of Flight Sub-Lieutenant Edward Duncan Crundall of 8 Naval Squadron RNAS. Crundall’s first two victories were in N5464 in April 1917. In May he was wounded in a dogfight with Aloys Heldmann of Jasta 10. After recovering, he went on to score a total of seven air victories and he survived the war, by then promoted to the rank of Captain. “Doris”, inscribed on the fuselage side, likely refers to a family member or romantic friend.
No painting is necessary — this model comes printed in full color, ready to use. The model does not come with a flight stand, maneuver deck, or plane card. You can find an unofficial plane card for this plane in this paint scheme in the gallery on this page.
